Rocky grad is new Rock Island High School Resource Officer

Rock Island High School has a familiar face as its new School Resource Officer.

According to a Facebook post from the Rock Island Police Department, Jacklyn Young, a Rocky graduate, started at Rock Island High School as School Resource Officer August 7. Young has served with the Rock Island Police Department for over five years.

Young is also a certified traffic crash investigator, drone pilot and recruiter with the department.

Argos, a 10-year-old, 6-pound senior dog rescued from a Texas shelter, is now “fully vetted and ready to find his retirement home,” according to Small Dog Rescue of New England.
