Lisbon police looking for a man considered dangerous

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – The Lisbon Police Department is looking for a man it says is armed and dangerous.

Police are looking for Timothy Adkins, who is considered to be “armed and dangerous.” In a Facebook post , the Lisbon police said Adkins was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue colored shirt.

Chief Michael Abraham tells First News they received a call concerning Adkin’s mental health just before 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon, stating he was threatening someone. Police say he left before they could arrive.

“He did make a comment that he purchased a gun a few days ago,” Abraham said. “We are currently looking into that. But I hope that he would not be able to purchase a gun at least through a licensed dealer… So hopefully not.”

Two K9s along with a drone were dispatched to search for Adkins. It lasted through the night.

Authorities say he is homeless and could be anywhere.

Charges were filed Friday morning including inducing panic and aggravated menacing.
