OMAHA, Neb. — The National Weather Service confirmedmultiple tornadoes in Friday's outbreak in Nebraska and Iowa. Officials said these are the strongest tornadoes in eastern Nebraska or western Iowa since June 2014, when an EF3 tornado hit Coleridge — one day after four EF4 tornadoes hit northeast Nebraska.
