LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The Maryland State Police Aviation Command on Monday rescued an injured hiker at St. Mary’s River State Park. At approximately noon on Monday the Maryland State Police Aviation Command was requested to assist St. Mary’s County fire personnel with the extrication of an injured hiker, who was located three miles into St. Mary’s River State Park in Leonardtown, Maryland.

Patrick Shawn Daly, 35, was taken into custody following a head-on crash on Saturday, where witnesses reported one driver fled in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road.
