Spring Weekend 2024 anticipated by students
This weekend is St. Bonaventure University’s annual Spring Weekend. This event is held for students to unwind and celebrate the end of the academic year. Students have various opportunities to participate in activities such as a kickball tournament, inflatables, bingo, karaoke and s’mores under the Marchiori Pavilion, outside of Devereux Hall.
Bonnies Land Two More Commitments
ST. BONAVENTURE, NY — The St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team landed two more commitments Friday, snagging Iowa transfer Dasonte Bowen and junior college product Jonah Hinton. Both are traditionally point guards. Bowen played in 51 games with the Hawkeyes and started the first eight this season. He averaged 4.4 points and 2.0 assists but saw his minutes dwindle as the season progressed. Bowen did not play in the team’s final seven games of the season with a knee injury. He committed to St. Bonaventure over Appalachian State, Tulsa, Central Michigan and Southern Illinois. Bowen and Hinton join Chance Moore — who committed on Tuesday — as part of the Bonnies 2024 transfer portal class. St. Bonaventure now has seven scholarship athletes, joining returners Noel Brown, Duane Thompson and Miles Rose, as well as incoming freshman Ebrahim Kaba.
