Worcester County Wonders: 'Swifties' show up at New England's largest wildlife sanctuary
WORCESTER — Pulling into the parking lot at Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center and Wildlife Sanctuary just before 7 on a Friday morning, a group of "Swifties" can be found eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the music maker. No, we're not talking about Miss Taylor Swift but rather an excited group of birders with their sights set on chimney swifts dancing and singing among the trees.

Royal Breeze Racing Remains Bullish on Massachusetts Breeding and Racing
Royal Breeze Racing, a racing and breeding operation located in Harvard, Massachusetts, owns two Mass-breds, a yearling by Frosted and a weanling by Beau Liam. That may not seem like a lot but when you consider that only five horses were foaled in the state between 2021 and 2023, Royal Breeze has become a leader in an industry still trying to figure out how to stay afloat when there are no racetracks in the state. The last one left was Suffolk Downs, which has not raced since 2019.

However, one thing I miss dearly is access to amazing sandwiches. I’m not talking about a chicken Caesar wrap or a concoction of a nontraditional protein and some fun aioli. No, I’m talking about a quality, fresh, classic deli sandwich like you’d find at the Bricco Salumeria and Pasta Shop in the back alley off Hanover Street.
