Fire destroys Millinocket garage, damages nearby houses
MILLINOCKET, Maine (WABI) - 35 firefighters from seven communities spent more than six hours on Friday battling a garage fire in Millinocket that spread to nearby homes. Crews responded to the fire on Medway Road just after 9 a.m. to find a garage to be fully involved, with a number of propane tanks nearby.
Millinocket X-Stream Canoe Race returning for third year
MILLINOCKET - Next Saturday, the Millinocket Stream will play host to the third annual Millinocket X-Stream Canoe Race. "It's a ball," says Matt Polstein, owner of the New England Outdoor Center. Brewer police arrest woman for drug trafficking, firearms possession
BREWER — Brewer Police Department officers apprehended a 22-year-old woman at a local hotel on May 23 for multiple charges including drug trafficking and possession of a stolen firearm. The investigation, led by Officer Mikayla Rose, identified the suspect as Shanika Littlefield, a transient with three active arrest warrants.

Salvatore “Sal” Fragione (Danny Aiello) is the Italian owner of a pizzeria in Brooklyn. A neighborhood local, Buggin’ Out (Giancarlo Esposito), becomes upset when he sees that the pizzeria’s Wall of Fame exhibits only Italian actors. Buggin’ Out believes a pizzeria in a black neighborhood should showcase black actors, but Sal disagrees. The wall becomes a symbol of racism and hate to Buggin’ Out and to other people in the neighborhood, and tensions rise.
