Georgia students win awards for fascinating inventions at national competition
DEARBORN, Mich. — Four Georgia students were recently honored at the RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals, according to a news release from the convention. They were among over 78 award-winning K-12 inventors who were celebrated at the ceremony on June 7. The convention presented students with over 80 awards, including cash prizes, trophies, medals and patent applications.

Man jailed in stabbing at Holcomb Bridge eatery
JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Police arrested a 42-year-old Norcross man after he allegedly stabbed a man with a fork at a restaurant on Holcomb Bridge Road June 1. The victim, a 28-year-old Norcross man, confronted the suspect after seeing him push a man who was intervening in an argument between the suspect and the suspect’s siblings, according to the incident report.

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A boil water advisory was issued for a stretch of roads in Forsyth County on Monday evening, according to a Facebook post from the government. Officials said water was turned off along Atlanta Highway from Campground Road to Mauldin Drive due to contracted roadwork. A Facebook post posted around 3 p.m. said, "Water is expected to be back on soon," but it did not provide any other updates.
