    LaBrae tournament run comes to an end

    STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – LaBrae baseball fell to Perry 6-0 in the Division III District Championship at Cene Park on Wednesday.

    For the Pirates, Kyle Rhineberger went 2-for-3 on the night with 2 runs batted in while starting pitcher Jason Pentek allowed no runs across 7 shutout innings.

    Sophomore Aaron Rowe finished 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Vikings offense that finished with 4 hits on the day. Despite the loss, Landon Brunstetter struck out 6 batters across 5 innings.

    LaBrae ends the season with an 18-6 overall record after winning a MVAC Grey Tier championship along with a sectional championship.

    With the win, Perry improves to 21-6 overall and advances to the regional semifinals next week.
