Leavenworth Police Department needs help identifying skimmer suspects

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Leavenworth Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying two suspects in a skimmer theft case in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Skimmers occur happen when “devices illegally installed on ATMs, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, or fuel pumps capture data or record cardholders’ PINs,” according to the FBI . Police are saying this particular case involves ATMs at banks and gas stations.

According to LVPD, the two suspects are traveling in a silver 2021 Ford Explorer with a Texas license plate that reads “RGB 1179.”
