The suspected killer’s ex-wife told the outlet she was glad the man she said has a history of domestic violence was arrested, ABC/The CW Plus affiliate WCJB reported.

“I was blown away,” she said, the station reported. “Now the truth comes out. Now people can see who this monster really is that I was married to.”

The killing happened on Tuesday. The Bradford County Sheriff’s communications center received a call at 4:51 p.m. from HCA Florida Starke Emergency Room, deputies said in a news release .

Medical personnel said an unknown white male and white female brought Crews to the hospital with a penetrating wound to his torso, officials said. Efforts to save the victim were unsuccessful, and he died from his injuries a short time later.

The male and female who drove the victim to the ER took off in a brown vehicle before police arrived.

After authorities said they’d look at video surveillance cameras in the area to determine their identities and sought the public’s help with information about the killing, they quickly located the suspects, officials said.

Weeks was found in a barn on his family’s property in the northeast area of Bradford County at 11:10 a.m. on Wednesday, authorities said.

The other two suspects were captured after a dramatic overnight raid on Tuesday at a residence in Lawtey, Florida, near Jacksonville. A SWAT team and police dogs surrounded the residence and found Ward and Chamberlin, officials said.

Deputies quickly learned, after interviewing both suspects, that they had been involved with the destruction and disposal of evidence related to the homicide, officials said.

The suspects allegedly tried to clean the vehicle up that they are suspects of using to drive Crews to the hospital, authorities said, according to WCJB.

The suspects were booked without bail into the Bradford County Jail.
