EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - It was a special day out at the Harrison softball field, as the Warriors and their opponent, Reitz, collaborated for cancer awareness. It was the inaugural “Hitting Cancer out of the Park” game, as both teams wore special pink jerseys, and even the bases and pitching rubber were colored pink. There was also a ceremony, recognizing Jo Jo Pierce and Taylor Houchin, two women are cancer survivors.
FC Cincinnati forward Aaron Boupendza out 6-8 weeks with broken jaw, reportedly from Quashawn Toler punch
FC Cincinnati forward Aaron Boupendza will miss 6-8 weeks due to an off field injury that resulted in a broken jaw according to the club. According to the Athletic, the broken jaw happened due to an altercation outside of a bar resulting in being punched by boxer Quashawn Toler. The club has not commented publicly on the incident, as necessitated by Boupendza reportedly being the victim in the situation which is currently under police investigation. The team released the following statement.
