LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas police officially announce the return of a traffic team that aims to reduce deadly crashes on roadways. A post was made on social media by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Traffic Bureau about the DUI Strike Team. It was formed in 2018 with Nevada State Police but broke up in 2021 due to staffing issues with troopers and Metro focusing on other concerns like street racing. Following a rise in deadly crashes in 2024, Metro Police aim to address the problem.
