Caitlin Clark Gets Brutal Warning From Las Vegas Aces Before Saturday’s Game

Should the Indiana Fever continue their slow start to the 2024 WNBA regular season and fall to the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday night, they'll enter Saturday's game against the back-to-back WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces at 0-6.

That certainly can't be how No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark envisioned the first few weeks with her new team.

Currently averaging 17.8 points per game for the Fever, Clark's transition to the professional game hasn't been as seamless as many in the hoops world expected. She's taken plenty of criticism so far, and while some has been fair and some not, Clark's impact on the women's game has been undeniable.

On Friday, WNBA veteran and Las Vegas Aces forward Alysha Clark was asked to comment on the 'whole situation' surrounding Clark's entrance into the league.

Her comments are turning heads before Las Vegas' first regular season matchup against Indiana this weekend.

"I don't pay it any mind," Clark said, via KTNV 's Alex Eschelman. "For me, it’s noise …it doesn’t matter who you are or what rookie you are, vets are coming at your neck cause we’re here to show you this is a grown woman’s league."

A 12-year WNBA veteran, Alysha Clark joined Las Vegas ahead of the 2023 season after a one-year stint in Washington.

She spent nine years of her career in Seattle from 2012 to 2020.

Alongside fellow Aces stars A'ja Wilson, Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum, Las Vegas will look to hand Clark and the Fever a loss in their first matchup of the year tomorrow night.

Tipoff is set for 9:00 p.m. ET.
