Cap’t Loui to Open Silverado Ranch Location

Founded in 2016 in Stoneham, Massachusetts , Cap’t Loui has taken its “excellence in rich flavor, quality, and variety” to new locations in New Jersey , New York , Georgia , California , Nevada , and beyond. The brand currently has one location in the Village Square shopping center at 9430 W Sahara Avenue , and it’s preparing to open a second at 9635 Bermuda Road #150 .

First-time franchisee Dae Kim got to know the brand firsthand when was involved in building Vegas’s first Cap’t Loui.

“I was a general contractor at the first location in Vegas,” Kim told What Now on Tuesday. “A friend of mine from college owns the location, and he called me up to build the restaurant. That’s how I got to know the team.”

The biggest influence toward to becoming a franchisee with Cap’t Loui, Kim added, was the product.

“Mainly, I love the food,” said Kim. “Everything on the menu is awesome.”

The seafood chain’s menus vary by location. The menu for the location on Broadway in New York City offers a choose-your-own style boil in which guests choose from seafoods like lobster, snow crab legs, crawfish, and clams, add sauces like Cap’t Loui (Louisiana) or Lemon Pepper, and finish off with a side like sausage, corn, or garlic noodles.

The new location encompasses about 3,200 square feet and will seat approximately 120 guests. It will join a food and drink community that includes nearby restaurants like Fat Shack, Big Jerk, and El Pollo Loco .
