The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office (SCPSO) has arrested a convicted felon for allegedly possessing over a dozen drugs.

A Kenner couple was arrested after authorities say they attacked a man and beat him with a bat that had been outfitted with dozens of metal bolts. Kimberly Tonquinto, 33, and David Shives, 34, both of Kenner, were booked Friday with attempted second-degree murder, according to Capt. Michael Cunningham, a Kenner Police Department spokesperson.

An 18-year-old suspect was fatally shot by a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office (JPSO) deputy in Metairie, as reported by Sheriff Joe Lopinto. The suspect, wanted in connection with a crime in New Orleans, tried to flee the scene by driving towards the approaching deputy, who then fired shots into the windshield. The incident occurred at the West Asplenia apartment complex, where investigators remained on site for several hours to assess the situation.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for 41-year-old Michael King from Ponchatoula, the suspect in a stabbing on C-C Road. King allegedly stabbed another man during an altercation and fled the scene. He is wanted for aggravated second-degree battery.
