Bicyclist killed in crash identified as 42-year-old LaGrange man
The bicyclist killed in a crash on Cobb Parkway in Acworth Monday night has been identified by police as 42-year-old James Rowe of LaGrange. Rowe was headed northwest in the right lane of Cobb Parkway, near Clubhouse Drive, when a black Mazda driven by Aaliyah Bland, 23, of Dallas, hit Rowe from behind as he approached the Park Forest subdivision. Rowe was redirected north and came to rest on the grass shoulder of Cobb Parkway, while the Mazda came to a rest in the right turn lane to Park Forest Drive, police said. Rowe was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office, while Bland was not injured in the crash, police added. The collision remains under investigation, and investigators are asking anyone with additional information to contact them at 770-499-3987.
