Water main ruptures near Land O’Lakes High School

LAND O’LAKES, Fla. (WFLA) — Crews are working to repair a water main that ruptured along US-41 in Land O’Lakes on Monday.

Pasco County officials said the 12-inch main broke at the intersection of US-41 (Land O’Lakes Blve.) and Wilderness Lake Blvd., which is near an entrance to the Pasco County School District offices and Land O’Lakes High School.

The ruptured main is located on the other side of the street, outside the Wilderness Lake Preserve neighborhood.

Wilderness Lake Blvd. is shut down as crews assess the damage and contain the break. Officials said to take Caliente Blvd. as an alternate route.

Utility customers in the area have been notified, according to Pasco County officials.
