High School Softball Tournament Central: Lancaster is No. 2 seed in tourney draw

COLUMBUS — Area high school softball teams found out their tournament fate during Sunday’s Central District and Southeast District tournament draw.

Regardless of your team’s record, tournament time is always exciting because it gives teams new life and something to play for. The goal for every team is to make it to the state tournament.

OHSAA state softball tournament schedule

April 28: Tournament draw

May 4-11: Sectional tournament

May 13-18: District tournament

May 22-25: Regional tournament

May 30-June 1: State tournament at Akron’s Firestone Stadium

Division III

Amanda-Clearcreek (No. 15) at Marion Pleasant, May 6, 5 p.m.

Tree of Life or Marion Elgin at Liberty Union (No. 3), May 8, 5 p.m.

Division IV

Ridgedale or Delaware Christian at Berne Union (No. 5), May 9, 5 p.m.

Groveport Madison Christian at Millersport (No. 6), May 7, 5 p.m.

Fairfield Christian Academy (No. 9) at Fisher Catholic (No. 4), May 7, 5 p.m.
