Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Into Light Pole in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Calif., Apr. 30 (KNN) — A vehicle struck a light pole head-on in the city of Lancaster Monday evening, leaving the driver dead at the scene after lifesaving attempts.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics and AMR ambulance responded to the intersection of 10th Street West and Avenue K8 in the city of Lancaster around 8:13 p.m. for a reported vehicle versus light pole collision.

Upon arrival, paramedics located a vehicle that had collided with a light pole on the southwest corner of the intersection with at least one patient inside the vehicle.

Paramedics exhausted all resources and attempts to revive the driver of the vehicle, ultimately pronouncing the patient deceased at the scene.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. No further details are available.
