Greater Taunton Week 9 high school football scores and highlights
Another high school football postseason is upon us in the Greater Taunton area. In Week 8 , a Bridgewater-Raynham (5-2, 2-0 Pioneer Athletic Conference) senior running back had his "legend moment" to help lead the Trojans to a 13-7 win over Barnstable for the PAC-3 title. Taunton (3-5, 1-2 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) put up a pair of unanswered touchdowns but it proved too late in a 21-12 loss to Franklin while Bristol-Plymouth (4-4, 4-1 Mayflower Large) fell 20-7 to Diman for its first league loss and Dighton-Rehoboth (3-5, 2-2 South Coast Blue) battled but ultimately fell short of undefeated Apponequet, 34-20. In Week 9, Bridgewater-Raynham is the lone local team in playoff action, earning the No. 2 seed in the MIAA Division 2 tournament and playing host to No. 15 Waltham (3-5, 1-1 Dual County Foley) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5. In non-playoff action, Taunton kicks thing off on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. with a trip to Braintree (1-7, 0-3 Bay State Herget) while, on Bristol-Plymouth hosts Sandwich (2-6) at 6 p.m. at Taunton High's Aleixo "Tiger" Stadium.
