Preliminary 4.5 magnitude earthquake strikes in Northern California
A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck in Lake County, which is located in Northern California on Saturday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake, which hit at 12:34 p.m., was centered about 5.3 miles west of Cobb and 14.2 miles north of Healdsburg. It was originally reported as a 4.0 magnitude quake, but USGS has since upgraded it.

Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah opens for First Friday Art Walk
The Grace Hudson Museum will be open for First Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 7. Round Valley resident Marjo Wilson will play live music with her Marjo Wilson Trio. Marjo has also organized a pop-up exhibition in the Public Room showcasing artwork by Round Valley RANCH artists. RANCH stands for Ranch Art Nurturing Cultural Heritage.

Maria Muldaur will be playing a special “Evening With” show on Saturday, June 15, at Dancing Crow Vineyards in Hopland. Muldaur, perhaps best known for her 1973 hit song, “Midnight at the Oasis,” has recorded albums in the folk, blues, early jazz, gospel, country and R&B traditions. Her latest album is 2020’s Let’s Get Happy Together, featuring Tuba Skinny. She first rose to fame as a member of the Even Dozen Jug Band, which included Bay Area luminary David “Dawg” Grisman, as part of the American folk music revival in the early 1960s. The show, featuring Maria Muldaur & Her Red Hot Bluesiana Band, will start at 6pm, Saturday, June 15, at Dancing Crow Vineyards, 12141 Hewlett Sturtevant Rd., Hopland.
