Palm Beach County on Monday remembered those who died in service to the United States at a Memorial Day ceremony at South Florida National Cemetery near Lake Worth Beach. The day saw a public ceremony complete with the presentation of wreaths and a rifle salute as well as private moments of reflection as those in attendance tended to the graves of loved ones. Motorcycle groups including the Patriot Guard Riders also participated.
Palm Beach to change intersection's traffic pattern in move to prevent confusion, crashes
A busy intersection in Palm Beach's Midtown is slated for a change that officials hope will prevent confusion and crashes. The center median at the crossing of Brazilian Avenue and South County Road will be filled in with striped paint to keep drivers who are going north or south on South County from turning left onto Brazilian, a change that received unanimous approval from Town Council members at their May 14 meeting.
