Community Stepping-up for Cottonwood man who Suffered Serious Burns
COTTONWOOD - Eli Rad is back home and almost completely healed after he suffered serious burns to 76% of his body in a February accident. It's been a grueling road to recovery since the Lifeflight to Seattle on the day of the incident. Now the father of two young girls, four and one, is happy to be back home with his family. However, at the same time, his family is shouldering the burden of excessive medical bills for the treatment Eli has already received and will need in the future.

Ben’s Bread Co., and , are hosting Seattle area’s best bakers on Sunday, June 9th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at The Jensen Marina for a day filled with delicious treats, community building, and dough raising for the Northwest Abortion Access Fund. Seattle Bakes Back will be a ticketed event so everyone that attends will get to sample the goods. Net proceeds from the event will support the Northwest Abortion Access Fund (NWAAF), and Cairnspring Mills will be donating flour to all the bakers. Here’s a list of the talented participants:

A reminder of the events scheduled in Edmonds and nearby on Memorial Day to honor those who gave their lives in defense of their country:. 11 a.m.: The annual Memorial Day Observance at the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery and Columbarium, 100th Avenue West and 15th Street Southwest, one block north of the Westgate QFC.
