LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) — A Maurice man was killed on his motorcycle in a crash that closed traffic on Ambassador Caffery Parkway Thursday night, authorities said.

Ronnie Lee Trahan, 34, of Maurice, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lafayette Parish Coroner.

Police said Trahan was traveling north on Ambassador Caffery when he struck an unidentified vehicle making a left turn onto Dover Blvd. The driver of the vehicle making the left turn submitted a voluntary breath sample of 0.0% BAC, authorities said.

This crash remains under investigation by the Lafayette Police Department Traffic Division.
