LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The 'Round the Fountain Art Fair celebrates its 50th year Saturday in downtown Lafayette around the courthouse square.

The one-day arts fair begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and runs through 4 p.m. Admission is free, and there is plenty of accessible parking, according to the fair's website, roundthefountain.org.

On its website, the fair board boasts of "fine art, affordable prices, a festive atmosphere, in a friendly community."

Those attending have the opportunity to meet the artists, buy their wares, as well as visit downtown shops that are open.

Proceeds raised by the fair allows the art fair committee to donate to high school art education, according to its website. The fair committee also has used money raised during the art festival to help in courthouse restoration projects, including the Marque de La Fayette statue and fountain.
