Collierville BMA denies Principle Toyota's rezoning request
Principle Toyota’s resubmitted rezoning request was denied by a 4-2 vote on the second reading by the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen during its Monday meeting. Aldermen's John Worley, John Stamps, Missy Marshall and Billy Patton voted against the rezoning request, while Mayor Stan Joyner and Maureen Fraser voted for it. Anchor tenants are nothing new in real estate, but a notable anchor tenant in Downtown or Midtown Memphis is a bit foreign at the moment. At least on the scale of a, say, a, Target. The Minneapolis-based retailer may be one of the largest commercial draws in the country. Recently, Saint Louis University announced it would be adding a Target near its campus in downtown St. Louis in part of a $60 million mixed-use development. (The development is part of a larger 400-acre redevelopment in the city's Midtown in partnership between the university and SSM Health.)
