West Grand athlete breaks 53-year-old school record in hurdles
West Grand High School junior Joe Probst competed at the Western Slope Leagues meet championships on May 4. In the 110-meter hurdles, he beat his own personal record — and a school record held since 1971. Probst’s time was 14.68, beating the 53-year-old record of 14.8, held by Gary O’Hotto.
Community celebrates West Grand students with send off to state competitions
West Grand High School had a celebratory send off on Thursday for the track team, the West Grand Future Farmers of America and the Future Business Leaders of America. Students from both the boys and girls track teams will compete at the Colorado High School Activities Association championships from Thursday until Saturday, in Lakewood.
