Here are 34 high school boys golfers to keep an eye on during the 2024 season in Wisconsin

The Wisconsin high school boys golf season is picking up steam after a slow start due to Mother Nature.

The WIAA state tournament will be held June 3-4 on the Meadow Valleys Course at Blackwolf Run in Kohler.

Sheboygan North is the defending team champion in Division 1, Madison Edgewood in Division 2 and Cambridge in Division 3.

Here are 34 of the best players in the state this season.

Peyton Albers, so., Waunakee

Tied for 48th at the WIAA Division 1 state meet last season with a two-day total of 166. Tied for 22nd place at the Waunakee sectional with an 83. Tied for ninth at the Madison Memorial regional with a 77.

AJ Anderson, jr., Waukesha North

Tied for 33rd at the Division 1 state meet last season with a 162. Tied for 29th place at the Germantown sectional with an 82. Tied for eighth at the Waukesha North regional with a 79.

Kaiden Bailey, sr., Marinette St. Thomas

Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin honorable-mention all-state last season. Finished in 20th place at the Division 3 state meet with a two-day total of 178. Tied for first at the Crivitz sectional with a 76. Took first at the Wabeno/Laona regional with a 75.

Cooper Bjerke, jr., Wausau East

Golf Coaches Association honorable-mention all-state. Finished 47th at the Division 1 state meet with a two-day total of 165. Finished third at the Marshfield sectional with a 75. Finished third at the Rhinelander regional with a 77.

Mason Burke, jr., Fort Atkinson

Golf Coaches Association honorable-mention all-state last season. Tied for 12th at the Milton sectional with a 76. Took first place at the Fort Atkinson regional with a 70.

Kian Bystol Flores, jr., Cambridge

Golf Coaches Association second-team all-state last season. Won the Division 3 state championship with a 153, beating Spencer Lynch of St. Mary Catholic by two strokes. Took first place at the St. Mary’s Springs sectional with a 74. Finished first at the Williams Bay regional with a 66.

Aiden Cudney, sr., Kimberly

Golf Coaches Association first-team all-state last season. Tied for third at the Division 1 state meet with a 150, including a 69 in the first round. Tied for fourth at the Notre Dame sectional with a 74. Tied for eighth at the Appleton West regional with a 78. Will play in college at Illinois State.

Sam Dethloff, sr., Menomonee Falls

Golf Coaches Association honorable-mention all-state last season. Tied for 33rd at the Division 1 state meet with a 162. Tied for fourth at the Germantown sectional with a 74. Tied for fifth at the Waukesha North regional with a 78.

Sam Forslund, so., Middleton

Tied for sixth at the Waunakee sectional with a 76. Tied for third at the Madison Memorial regional with a 74.

Parker Groff, so., Winneconne

Tied for 29th at the Division 2 state meet with a 168. Finished second at the Wrightstown sectional with a 75. Tied for seventh at the Wautoma regional with a 77.

Mason Haupt, sr., West De Pere

Golf Coaches Association second-team all-state last season. Tied for 11th at the Division 1 state meet last season with a 154. Won the Notre Dame sectional with a 68. Tied for first at the Appleton West regional with a 73. Will play in college at UW-Green Bay.

Caleb Kern, jr., Edgerton

Tied for 18th at the Division 2 state meet with a 164. Tied for fourth at the Prairie du Chien sectional with a 79. Tied for 22nd at the New Glarus regional with an 87.

Elliott Leibham, sr., Sheboygan Lutheran

Golf Coaches Association honorable-mention all-state. Tied for 14th at the Division 3 state meet with a 173. Finished fourth at the St. Mary’s Springs sectional with a 78. Tied for third at the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah regional with an 81.

Will Mauthe, jr., Fond du Lac

Golf Coaches Association honorable-mention all-state last season. Tied for eighth at the Division 1 state meet with a 152. Tied for 13th at the Plymouth sectional with an 81. Tied for second at the Hartford Union regional with a 74.

Tied for 63rd at the Division 1 state meet with a 169. Won the Marquette sectional with a 72. Tied for eighth at the Franklin regional with a 77.

Golf Coaches Association honorable-mention all-state. Tied for 15th at the Division 1 state meet with a 155. Tied for sixth at the Marshfield sectional with a 79. Won the Rhinelander regional with a 74.

Will Schlitz, sr., Eau Claire Memorial

Golf Coaches Association first-team all-state last season. Tied for eighth at the Division 1 state meet with a 152. Took fourth at the Marshfield sectional with a 76. Tied for fourth at the Eau Claire Memorial regional with a 73. Will play in college at St. Thomas.

Sam Swavely, jr., Hudson

Golf Coaches Association third-team all-state last season. Tied for 15th at the Marshfield sectional with an 82. Tied for sixth at the Eau Claire Memorial regional with a 74.

Luke Taebel, sr., Holmen

Golf Coaches Association second-team all-state last season. Tied for 17th at the Division 1 state meet with a 156. Won the Waunakee sectional with a 70. Tied for first at the Onalaska regional with a 72.
