2 dead in LaPorte County motorcycle crash
LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Two people from Kingsford Heights have died after police say a motorcycle crashed Sunday afternoon in LaPorte County. According to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office, a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle was heading northwest in the 3500 block of N. US-35 around 1:10 p.m. when it left the road, traveled across a lawn, and collided with a tree and landscaping. The motorcycle then crashed into some boulders before coming to rest in a vegetable garden.

Traffic Stops Result in Arrests
Two separate traffic stops conducted by officers from the Plymouth Police Department resulted in the arrest of the drivers. An officer initiated a traffic stop Thursday, May 16 at 4:10 a.m. ET for an equipment violation near the intersection of Michigan and North Streets. Police say the driver, 37-year-old Elbin Colindres-Hernandez, of Plymouth, was determined to have never obtained a driver’s license and was taken into custody. Colindres-Hernandez was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.
Car Crashes into Arby’s Restaurant in Plymouth
The Plymouth Police Department is investigating an accident that occurred Friday, May 17 around 11:30 a.m. ET when a vehicle crashed into the Arby’s Restaurant in Plymouth. Police say a 2024 Suburu Legacy with two occupants from Fort Wayne crashed into the building. The occupants told police that they were not injured, but officers learned a man sitting at a table eating his lunch was struck by the vehicle when it entered the building, according to the report.
