Tracking a heat dome this week with low rain chances
Tuesday evening update: A ridge of high pressure is taking hold of our weather pattern as we go into the remainder of the week and into the weekend. This will bump up our heat and humidity. We are talking highs in the upper 90s. Heat indices will be between 106 and 110 degrees when you factor in the high humidity. This will result in dangerous to extreme heat stress, so you’ll want to take precautions such as taking breaks in the A/C, staying hydrated with electrolytes, checking on those vulnerable to heat related illnesses, and wearing loose fitted, bright colored clothing.
