Sunshine, gusty breezes both to return Friday
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - After rain had fallen in the Stateline during four of June’s first five days, it was nice to enjoy a dry day Thursday. Sunshine shared time with clouds from time to time Thursday, though the day’s big weather story were the gusty winds that had been a force for a good portion of the day. Wind gusts of as high as 44mph were reported in Rockford, Rochelle, and Galena, which had caused some rather significant visibility reductions in rural areas that had seen dust kick up by those winds.
