Kermit ISD’s Interim Superintendent takes over the helm

KERMIT, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – According to the school district’s Facebook post on Monday, April 15th, ‘ Kermit Independent School District is pleased to announce the selection of our Interim Superintendent, Dr. Rodney Schneider.’

In March, the former Superintendent, Dr. Joe Lopez was announced as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Greenville ISD.

Per the district, ‘Dr. Schneider has over 34 years of experience in Education. Over twenty of those years were spent in the role of Superintendent. He has many years of experience leading districts similar to Kermit ISD. He has a proven track record of improving educational outcomes, leading his last school district, Dublin to an “A” rating.’

According to Kermit ISD officials, some of the other credentials of Dr. Schneider are a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University, a Master’s Degree in Education from Sul Ross State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from North Dakota State University.

The district says it’s thrilled to have Dr. Schneider on the team for the Interim. He starts in this position on Monday, April 15th.
