In the kids village attendees could visit with animal and ride ponies from T&K pony rides, play in bounce houses or even enjoy a field of bubbles from Lafayette's Bubble Bus.
Man accused of killing mom of 4 while on a date is arrested after calling for help with flat tire
NEW ORLEANS (TCD) -- A 25-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly fatally stabbing a mother of four while they were on a date and trying to steal her car. According to The Acadiana Advocate, on Saturday, April 27, at around 2:30 p.m., Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a stabbing call in Hammond and found 31-year-old Carol Allen injured in the back seat of a car. Paramedics took her to nearby hospital, where she later died from her stabbing injuries.
Dept. of Labor recovers more than $45K in back wages for 57 Shreveport employees
According to a release from the department, We Care Sitting Services LLC in Shreveport failed to pay overtime to 57 employees. The total amount recovered for the employees was $45,441.
