KPD: Second drive-by shooting in Kennewick just over a week apart, investigation continues

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Kennewick Police Department said there was a second drive-by shooting just over a week apart.

It happened on Saturday, April 13 just before 3 a.m. when officers responded to a weapons complaint in the 5100 block of West Clearwater Avenue, at the Lakeside Apartments.

According to officials, the caller stated they heard multiple gunshots in the area of West Clearwater Avenue and North Edison Street.

Officials said when officers arrived, an apartment window was shattered due to it being hit by gunfire.

After investigating further, officers said the apartment had been hit several times but fortunately, the tenants inside were not hurt.

This case is an active investigation and will be updated as information is released.
