New Fort Worth Data Says 26 Percent of Single Family Homes Are Commercially Owned
A quarter of single-family residential properties in Fort Worth are held by commercial interests, according to new data from FWLab and the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD). The data comes from a report issued by City Manager David Cooke to the city council for the June 4 meeting. Cooke established FWLab in February 2023 as an initiative focused on building organizational capacity to “explore, analyze, and learn from data that is discoverable via existing and new municipal systems and components.” FWLab is divided into four divisions; budget, planning, strategy and performance, and data analytics.
