Patrick Mahomes Breaks Silence On Fat Shamers Amid Viral Video

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes couldn't help but question those people who keep criticizing his physique to the extent of even fat-shaming him.

Mahomes recently went viral after people noticed that he's sporting a bigger body heading to the Chiefs' OTAs. Many accused him of being "severely out of shape," with several others directly calling him fat.

Now, it is important to note that Mahomes has never had a muscular body. During the playoffs, he also blew up online when a shirtless photo of him showcasing his dad bod spread like wildfire on social media.

Mahomes is totally fine with that. He knows his body more than anyone, and he's just not really someone who has abs. But that is also why he's surprised by people fat-shaming him and questioning his current shape when he's been like that all along.

"It kinda surprised me . I thought we got the whole dad bod thing out of the way last offseason, last season actually in the playoffs. But I guess people still haven't realized that I don't have abs," Mahomes told Patrick McAfee in his show.

The Chiefs star did promise, however, that he'll "continue to work on that."

Speaking about the video, Mahomes explained why he looked bigger, noting that it's because of his shirt and his backpack holding his shirt it.

"Hopefully one of these days, we can figure out how to get a looser t-shirt," Mahomes added.

Mahomes was pretty chill in handling the criticisms. But maybe, fans can stop fat-shaming others. Not to mention that this is a three-time Super Bowl champion we're talking about. We're pretty sure he knows how to take care of his body.
