Police ID two killed in Southwest Boulevard crash in Kansas City, Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department has identified the two people killed in a crash last Friday night on Southwest Boulevard.

The crash was reported just before 6:40 p.m. in the area of N. Iowa Street and Southwest Boulevard.

One woman arrested after standoff with Raytown Police

When officers arrived on scene they found two vehicles that were involved in the crash. Two men were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 58-year-old Rodney Chmidling, of Kansas City, Missouri and 58-year-old Jay M. Franklin, of Overland Park.

Police say two other people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
