WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - It’s often said the cost of diapers can lead a family into poverty, even with access to big department stores in urban communities. For those who don’t have that access though, whether it’s because they live too far out or don’t have a vehicle, for example, the financial strain grows. When you buy diapers in bulk and at large box stores you can pay about 35 cents on average per diaper. People living in rural communities can sometimes pay up to $1.50.
