Severe weather rolls through northeast Kansas

TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – The National Weather Service ( NWS ) is reporting numerous areas are under threat of severe weather activity Saturday.

Tornado warnings for northeast Kansas were ended at 3:45 p.m.

The NWS is also reporting a semi truck was knocked over on I-70 near mile-marker 281 near the town of Chapman in Dickinson County. A traffic camera on kandrive.gov showed the semi lying on its side. Around 3:40 p.m., traffic began moving around the downed semi which is now back on its wheels.

Trees have also been knocked down in and around Junction City. Tree limbs and other debris is may be covering roads in the area as well.

The NWS issued a tornado watch at 11:50 a.m. on April 27 for more than 40 counties in Kansas until 7 p.m. These include the following:
