Man arrested for allegedly abducting girl
ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - A man was arrested and is facing multiple charges after abducting a girl from Louisiana, according to the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office. Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police responded to a call from the girl Monday, May 20, at 3:51 a.m. at a LOVES truck stop in Covington, where she said she was being held captive in a dark grey four-door sedan, registered from Arkansas.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — There is a chance of showers and storms today with strong to severe storms possible. The Storm Prediction Center has SWVA in the Marginal risk category and areas east of the Blue Ridge in the Slight category. In the Slight category in yellow, there is a 15% chance of damaging wind and hail and a 2% chance of an isolated tornado or two. While the area in green is at a lower risk, there is a threat of severe storms and tornadoes here as well.
