ST. LOUIS – A father and son accused of trafficking cocaine in St. Louis were both sentenced to more than a decade behind bars. A federal judge sentenced Gregory Dixson Jr., 53, to 15 years in prison, and sentenced his son, Gregory Cornell Dixson III, 33 to 10 years and one month in prison.

A former St. Louis Public Schools building in north St. Louis that’s been vacant for two decades is now set to get new life as an addiction treatment and recovery center. The roughly $22.7 million rehabilitation of the old Eliot School by Jubilee Community Development Corporation will establish the Jubilee Wellness Center, with room for 75 beds to help those recovering from substance use disorder.
