St. Louis pilot program will create more affordable, sustainable housing in the city
ST. LOUIS — A new pilot program is taking shape in the City of St. Louis to help make homes more affordable and sustainable. The St. Louis Development Corporation and the Community Development Administration are the two agencies heading this new pilot program. They said they want this program to take off later this month with the hopes of having more affordable housing in the city by next summer to help meet area needs.
Aldmerman’s proposal would add tax to short-term rentals in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) -- The St. Louis Board of Aldermen is reviewing a bill that would add a tax on short-term rentals. Alderman Bret Narayan, who represents parts of South City, is the primary sponsor of the bill. He’s proposing a $1.50 tax per night on short-term rentals.
