New Jersey Mike’s location opening in Grand Rapids with a 5-day fundraiser
GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its freshly sliced and grilled subs, will open at 6670 Kalamazoo Ave., S.E., in Grand Rapids on March 4. Franchise owner Mac Ganzak will hold a grand opening and fundraiser from March 4-8 to support the KPS Education Foundation. The location joins more than 70 others in Michigan.

Just announced: The Guess Who, Don Felder coming to Acrisure Amphitheater this summer
The Guess Who and Don Felder are teaming up for a mega show in Grand Rapids this summer. They’ll be at Acrisure Amphitheater on Wednesday, July 1. The tour will feature members Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman. It’s the first time they’ve toured in almost 25 years. According to Rolling Stone, the new lineup includes drummer Sean Fitzsimons, bassist Jeff Jones, percussionist Nick Sinopoli, and guitarists Tim Bovaconti and Joe Augello.

Our Brewing Heading East to Open Taproom and Beer Garden in Grand Rapids
The brewery on the west side of the state will serve IPAs and stouts in Beer City USA soon. The owners of Holland’s Our Brewing have announced a new beer garden at the Woosah Outfitters space, 738 Wealthy Street SE. This is Our Brewing’s second location, and the space will also feature food trucks. Owner Trevor Doublestein told What Now Detroit the opening date will be sometime in June.

Bagel Beanery is a small, cozy cafe and bagel shop located in Wyoming, Michigan, that specializes in house-made bagels, espresso drinks, and sandwiches. Bagel Beanery offers a wide selection of quality breakfast and lunch sandwiches, fresh bagels, espresso, coffee, and pastries. My favorite item to order from here is the All American Club on a plain bagel, which consists of smoked turkey, honey-cured ham, lettuce, bacon, American cheese, tomato, and mayonnaise. On the side, it comes with a dill pickle spear and potato chips that can be substituted for bagel chips, which is what I usually do. I also like to get a fruit smoothie, specifically the strawberry banana one, which pairs perfectly with my meal.
