Three suffer moderate injuries in three-vehicle crash in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A crash on Monday in the eastbound lanes of Highway 54 at Ellis Boulevard in Jefferson City caused a temporary lane closure, according to a crash report from the Jefferson City Police Department.

According to the crash report, a 2019 Ford truck – driven by Bradley Ross, 45 of Springfield -- failed to notice traffic was stopping for a separate crash ahead and he ran into the back of a 2011 Toyota Sequoia – driven by Tawnya Morrow, 48, of Eldon.

The crash pushed Morrow’s vehicle off the left side of the roadway and into the median cable, the release states.

The Ford then continued forward and rear-ended a 2005 Pontiac Vibe – driven by Michael Minor, 46, of Jefferson City. The Ponitac was also pushed off the left side of the road and into the median, the release sates.

All three vehicles were totaled and traffic was shut down for 15 minutes before it was restricted to one lane for 30 minutes, according to the crash report.

The report states that Morrow, Minor and Minor’s passenger – an 8-year-old girl – had moderate injuries. Minor and the girl were brought to an area hospital, the release states. Everyone in the crash were wearing seatbelts, the report states.
