The Port Huron Police Department is searching for a teenager who's been missing for a month. Lonnie Smith, 15, was reportedly last seen at Port Huron High School on April 16. A news release announcing the search for Smith lists him as a runaway and states he is believed to have runaway to live with relatives in Detroit.
St. Clair County Woman Faces Up to 15 Years for Fatal Washington Township Crash
A St. Clair County woman is facing a serious prison sentence after being charged with reckless driving, causing death in a fatal Washington Township crash, according to officials. The unidentified 27-year-old from Riley could face up to 15 years behind bars for the accident that took place earlier this year on Feb. 2. Port Huron Teen Dies After Skateboard Stunt Involving Moving Vehicle Goes Wrong
A Port Huron teenager has died following a skateboarding stunt that went awry, authorities confirmed. The 19-year-old was critically injured when he attempted to skateboard while holding onto a moving vehicle and subsequently fell, as reported by Hoodline. Suffering multiple facial and skull fractures, the young man was hastily transported to McLaren Macomb Hospital after the incident, which occurred just before midnight on May 9, on the 2700 block of 24th Street in Port Huron.

At about 3:30 p.m. May 6, a bomb threat was reported at the Home Depot in Fort Gratiot Township, according to officials from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office. When the threat was found written on the wall in a bathroom stall, law enforcement was notified. Upon learning of the situation, deputies responded, calling for area bomb K-9s to respond, as well as Fort Gratiot Fire Department to stage in the area. Michigan State Police K-9 and a Port Huron Police Department K-9 responded to the store. They worked meticulously clearing the building. No bomb and nothing of concern was located. The store resumed normal business.
