South Florida Urban Search and Rescue task forces making their way to Tallahassee in preparation for Hurricane Isaias
MIAMI (WSVN) - South Florida search and rescue teams have begun preparations to assist those hundreds of miles away as Hurricane Isaias approaches. In Miami, the South Florida Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 2 has been prepping since about 4 a.m. Thursday morning making sure everything is in order so they can get up to Tallahassee by Thursday afternoon.

Isaias may be 'prolific tornado producer' for Tallahassee, Big Bend
Forecasters urge Big Bend residents to keep their cellphone alerts on as Hurricane Isaias makes a projected landfall near the Florida/Alabama line, bringing with it the risk of tornadoes and training outer rain bands that could bring severe flooding wherever they set up. The timing of Isaias’ projected landfall moved up with the National Hurricane Center’s 5 a.m. Oct. 9 advisory, with forecasters saying it will come ashore the evening of Friday, Oct. 9. “Rush any remaining preparations to completion before late morning,” the National Weather Service in Tallahassee said. The Weather Service issued a tornado watch for much of the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend, including Bay, Calhoun, Dixie, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Hamilton, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Suwannee, Taylor and Wakulla counties. The watch was in effect until 9 p.m. Eastern time. A tropical storm warning remained in effect for Franklin, Gadsden, Leon, Liberty and Wakulla counties in the Big Bend, while Jefferson County was under a tropical storm watch. The area also was under a flood watch through 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. All of those watches could become warnings before and after Isaias comes ashore. Tallahassee could become a tornado hot

Isaias Tornado Outbreak Threatens Pensacola, Panama City, Dothan, and Tallahassee as Numerous Supercells Target Florida Panhandle and South Georgia Friday Night Into Early Saturday
FLORIDA PANHANDLE — A high-end tornado setup is developing for the Florida Panhandle, southern Georgia, and southeast Alabama as Hurricane Isaias makes landfall. Numerous tornadoes are expected to the right of the storm’s center from Friday evening through Friday night and into early Saturday. Simulated radar shows an arc of tornadic supercells stretching from the Gulf waters inland across the Panhandle. More than 20 tornado warnings could be in effect at the same time along this arc.
