High Springs firefighters rescue stranded cow
Rescue crews responded Tuesday evening to a cow trapped in a sinkhole off County Road 236 in the High Springs area. According to a High Springs Fire Department (HSFD) release, HSFD firefighters responded to the call around 7 p.m. and found a 1,200-pound cow trapped in a 20- to 25-foot sinkhole. The cow was standing just below chest depth on a shallow ledge in the water.
