JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — Police in Janesville arrested Deshawn Foreman, 28, a suspect in a drug investigation, after a pursuit Thursday morning that ended in a crash with another motorist.

Janesville Police officers attempted to confront Foreman in a traffic stop at 9:35 a.m. but said he refused to comply with officers and fled the scene.

Officers abandoned the pursuit for safety reasons, but a short time later Foreman collided with another driver at the intersection of E. Court Street and S. Garfield Avenue.

He then got out and ran from the scene, but was chased down and apprehended, police said.

The driver of the vehicle Foreman struck refused medical treatment but Forman did, police noted in a press release.

After he was released from the hospital, he was booked into the Rock County Jail on charges of fleeing an accident, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering safety, hit and run, and felony bail jumping.

Police executed search warrants at two residences, in the 800 block of Milwaukee Street and the 500 block of E. Court Street, in reference to the ongoing drug investigation, and say future charges will be issued in that case.
