One injured in DUI crash on I-94 near Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, ND ( KXNET ) — A 60-year-old Dickinson man is in the hospital after driving under the influence near Jamestown.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the man was traveling east on I-94 about six miles from Jamestown around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and ended up in a slough.

Troopers responded and aided both the driver and his passenger, a 60-year-old Dickinson woman, out of the slough and they were treated by emergency responders.

The driver and passenger were taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash and remains hospitalized. The female passenger was not hurt.

The driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence – Drugs. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
